VOLUNTEER

Contribute time or talents to Adeo. Please, contact the Adeo office if you would like to help.

BECOME AN ADEO VOLUNTEER TEACHER

As an Adeo teacher, you will commit to teaching for one year and will receive training on the curriculum. You will be assigned a mentor to offer teaching support to you throughout the year. Adeo organizes events where teachers can socialize and meet other teachers and parents. Adeo teachers have often shared that teaching in Adeo is one of the most rewarding and enriching experiences of their lives.

  • Applications will be considered starting mid-May. Please note that teachers will need to complete an interview with Adeo staff members, undergo a background check, and complete a short child safety video training as per the guidelines of the Archdiocese of NY.

  • The Archdiocese of New York offers free catechism formation classes. Click here for more information.

HOST MY CHILD'S CLASS

As a host, you will facilitate a space in your home for your child’s Adeo class. Please note that the host will need to complete a background check authorization form and a short child safety video training as per the guidelines of the Archdiocese of NY. Also, an adult from the host family must always be present in the home while the class is in session. Class locations are determined in late August/early September, and we will contact you with more information.

BE A CLASS REPRESENTATIVE

As a class representative, you will assist the Adeo office by being the main point of contact between our office and the other parents in your child’s class. The selection of class representatives will be finalized in early September.

SOCIAL EVENTS

Host occasional get-together events for your child’s small class or a school group breakfast/cocktail to socialize and exchange ideas with other parents and Adeo representatives.

YOUR PROFESSION

Assist the Adeo program and students through your profession.
